The History and Political Science Club allows for students to come together that share a passion for historical and political events, cultural phenomenon of the past, and other topics of interest that deal with our history and politics. 2017-18 History and Political Science Club officers are: President - Madlyn Yuschovitz; Vice President - Lauren Grigoletti; Scretary - Michelle Chavez; Treasurer - Olivia Vassot; Advisors - Christine Carpino and Megan Monahan.
Close to 300 University of Alabama students are receiving a hands-on educational experience at more than 60 companies and organizations through UA's Cooperative Education Program during fall 2017. In the Cooperative Education Program, students alternate periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. This program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student. The experience enhances the students' employment prospects after graduation. While in school, students carry regular course schedules. While on co-op, they work with professionals in their fields who supervise their training and work. At work, co-op students earn competitive salaries and may receive benefit packages in addition to valuable on-the-job experience. Students maintain their full-time student status while at work and have priority registration status each semester through graduation.

Elizabethtown has named 198 students to the College Honors Program. Since its establishment in 1999, the Elizabethtown College Honors Program aims to provide students who have excelled both in academic and extracurricular activities with enhanced learning opportunities. Those selected to participate in the program are encouraged to maintain high standards of scholarship, leadership and service worthy of their intellectual promise and demonstrate initiative.
Each October, Stevenson University sponsors the "Build Community Day" for all students. During the event, hundreds of students, faculty, and staff devote a full day to giving back to the community by contributing to hunger relief programs, economic development projects, and environmental sustainability establishments throughout the greater Baltimore region.
